An unhealthy lifestyle (eating the wrong foods and doing to little exercise) is leading to more diabetic cats.  Overweight cats are 3 times as likely to get diabetes compared to healthy lifestyle cats.

These are the findings of scientists at Edinburgh University, who looked at over 14,000 cats.  They found that male, neutered, overweight cats are at an increased risk of diabetes.
