What is an insulin Pump?
An insulin pump is a small device containing a reservoir of your insulin that means you no longer need to manually inject yourself with insulin. The pump is attached to you via a long piece of thin tubing. The needle is located at the end of the tubing, and it is inserted under the skin allowing insulin to be injected into your body. The pump is programmed to deliver insulin constantly, at varying rates which you determine.
