Insulin pumps free up the diabetic from daily injections with needles and syringes. They are small devices that contain a reservoir of insulin that delivers the insulin at the schedule you programme into the pump. The pumps use a variety of accessories, all of which can be purchased separately. These include infusion sets, filling aids, cartridges, etc.
Insulin Pump Cartridges & Resevoirs
Insulin cartridges & reservoirs come in a range of sizes. e.g the Animas IR 1000 series insulin pump cartridges come in boxes of 10, with each cartridge 3ml. You can also find 2ml catridges.
The Medtronic Minimed Paradigm user-filled Reservoir hold 1.8 ml and comes in boxes of 10.
You should read the manufacturers guidelines on your Insulin pump to find the correct cartridge/reservoir for your machine.
